It’s time to announce the end of an era for us. We will be closing our doors at the end of this month, August 31. This is one of the hardest things I have ever done, and it’s extremely emotional and overwhelming. We will miss our dogs more than anything! We have known a lot of our customers for 7 years. We have seen marriages, divorces, babies, deaths, and lots of human kids grow up before our eyes. We put our heart and soul into creating this place. Built it with our own hands from the ground up. This was never just a business for us. This is an extension of our lives, where we get to have a ton of dogs around every day. Not having the daily routine is going to take a while to get used to. You have no idea how much this hurts!

We had a great plan in place. We had the perfect buyer in place. We agreed on the sale six months ago. The landlord and the buyer could not come to an agreement on the lease, so the deal just fell thru. It’s been a back and forth for so long so we didn’t want to say anything, because it looked like it was going to work out. The transition would have been very smooth and it would have been perfect for our customers. But that’s what sucks about the business side of things, deals fall thru. There is a possibility that a new daycare facility will be going in, but that’s all I know, it’s a possibility.

We are out of options and time. Our family is moving to Ohio in September. We are going to retire there and spend time with the grandkids. We never planned on running the business forever, but this is not how we planned on it ending. We are looking forward to our next chapter, but this is bittersweet.

The biggest announcement is a HUGE THANK YOU to all of our customers that made us a big success, right from the beginning!! We would never have made it this far without the support of our great customers. We made it thru the stupid pandemic because of you all continuing to bring your dogs in! We have had so many unique dogs come thru. So many we were able to help come out of their shell and enjoy being at the kennel. We have lost quite a few to old age over the years also. They hurt our hearts, but glad we got to meet them all. So many personalities, so many memories, so many dog breeds….. We will miss so much about this place.

On the business side of things, we will be going through our reservations for September and beyond to reach out and cancel them. Any daycare packages will be refunded after our last day. Please reach out to us if you need a refund and don’t hear anything. We also have a TON of personal belongings that we would like to return. Most things don’t have names on them, which is why we still have them. If you know you have something that was left after your stay, please let us know what it is and we will pull it from the stack. I also have a ton of pictures on my phone. I will try to get them posted, or send them out to the humans when I can.

Going forward, if you have any questions that are not about reservations, refunds, or your items, please send to my personal email, paige33067@gmail.com. We wish all of you the best in everything that comes your way. We will miss seeing everyone, especially our daily daycare customers!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SUPPORT OVER THE YEARS!!

Our guests get plenty of exercise here everyday. (Unless, of course, you request otherwise) We have a large variety of toys of all sizes, and our pups spend most of the day playing fetch or tug of war! Our arms get tired long before the dogs do! Our daycare customers often report back to us that they brought home a calmer dog ready for dinner and bedtime!

It is common to bring your dog home from a day of daycare or an overnight stay, and notice that they are very tired. If your dog can not handle that kind of exertion please let us know and we will go over with you exactly how much playtime you would like for your dog. We are always very aware of how each of our guests are doing, and we will definitely give break time as needed.

Aside from the main play areas and run area, we also have a more private room inside near our lobby. It serves as a boarding room for older dogs, smaller dogs, and puppies. It has heat as well as air conditioning and great ventilation. It is also just a few feet away from our front desk, so the room is constantly monitored. We have various size crates we use in the room for dogs from chihuahuas to golden retrievers. The smaller, quieter room provides comfort for our more sensitive guests, including our senior citizen pups.
